Past Initiatives
2005 Conference
The Phoenix Education Trust organised a conference - Supporting Student Voice - that took place on 4 February 2005 at the TUC in London in association with the English Secondary Students’ Association (ESSA). The conference was specifically designed for those adults accompanying students to the ESSA event that took place on the same day. Participants identified a range of measures that could be taken to promote and support student voice initiatives in schools. They also called for further help to teachers to enable them to support democratic approaches to classroom practice.
