In addition to project interventions, we create networks for pioneers to meet and share ideas, access opportunities, and work together to bring about changes in education. We host programmes and workshops, enabling a multitude of diverse people and practitioners to embed rights-respecting values into practice within their educational settings.
We gather and share quality research and case studies to spread ideas and contribute innovative perspectives within a cross-pollination of education debates in collaboration with mainstream educators but also educators that fall outside of the mainstream, such as homeschoolers, unschoolers, forest schoolers, etc.
By focusing on relationships of trust, we support members of a learning environment to see themselves as part of a network, each having unique and important roles, skills, and interests. We cultivate cultures of shared understanding and caring.
By appreciating diversity, we celebrate difference, neurodiversity, and experimentation, and treat learning as a process that must be open to all. By sharing responsibility, we encourage and support individual educators to directly implement the change they want to see.
Our experiences shows that Senior Leadership Teams in schools can only feel free to innovate when they are allowed to experiment without excessive pressure from OFSTED.
“The Changemakers Lab has opened my eyes to so many different terms, concepts, and techniques and has equipped me with the knowledge to describe the things you feel within the education system that frustrate you and the root causes."
