Initiatives

In addition to our core programmes, namely the Changemaker's Lab and Freedom to Learn,

we foster vibrant networks where innovators convene to exchange ideas, access opportunities, and collaborate on educational reforms. Through dynamic workshops and projects, we empower diverse practitioners to integrate rights-respecting values into their educational practices, spanning from traditional schools to progressive and innovative approaches such as homeschooling, unschooling, and forest schooling.

Our platform serves as a hub for disseminating high-quality research and case studies, enriching education debates with innovative perspectives. We champion collaboration with mainstream educators and those operating beyond conventional boundaries, fostering a rich cross-pollination of ideas.

Central to our approach is the cultivation of trust-based relationships within learning communities. By valuing each member's unique contributions, skills, and interests, we foster cultures of mutual understanding and support.

Embracing diversity in all its forms, including neurodiversity, we champion experimentation and treat learning as an inclusive, ongoing process. Through shared responsibility, empowerment, and tailored concrete action plans, we enable young people and educators to enact the changes they envision.

Drawing from our experiences, we recognise the importance of allowing Senior Leadership Teams in schools with the freedom to innovate without undue pressure from regulatory bodies. This freedom to experiment is essential for fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement in educational settings.

“The Changemakers Lab has opened my eyes to so many different terms, concepts, and techniques and has equipped me with the knowledge to describe the things you feel within the education system that frustrate you and the root causes."
